Our Patron Saint - Saint Michael the Archangel

At Genesis Wealth Planning, we have chosen Saint Michael the Archangel as our firm’s Patron Saint. For me, this is not just symbolic—it’s deeply personal. Saint Michael has always embodied courage, integrity, and the relentless defense of all that is good. In the Book of Revelation, we read: “Now war arose in heaven, Michael and his angels fighting against the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, but they were defeated” (Revelation 12:7–8). This powerful image of Michael leading God’s army against darkness has long reminded me of the call to protect, defend, and stand firmly for truth.

His very name, Michael, means “Who is like God?”—a rhetorical challenge that proclaims no one compares to the Lord. That humility before God, combined with strength and bravery, offers a model I strive to bring into my own life and vocation as a financial professional.

The Saint Michael Prayer has been close to my heart since my years as a college lacrosse player. Before every game, I would recite it quietly in the locker room—asking for protection, courage, and clarity of purpose. Today, I carry that same spirit into my work as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™: to stand firm, act with bravery in always seeking to align with our client's interest, and serve others with both intentionality and integrity.

We chose Saint Michael as our Patron Saint because he reflects the very qualities we believe define true financial stewardship: courage in the face of challenges, strength in defending what matters most, humility in serving others, and faithfulness to what is right and good. Just as he leads with bravery and protects the vulnerable, our mission is to guide and defend the financial well-being of the individuals, families, and business owners we serve.
